During the operation of a small magnetic pump, large vibration will endanger the safety of the pump, motor, and even the whole unit. There are many complex causes of vibration, so when encountering such problems, we must deeply analyze and find out the root causes and deal with them pertinently.
The motor is the main equipment of the unit. The internal magnetic imbalance of the motor and the imbalance of other electrical systems often cause vibration and noise.
The unbalanced mass, rough workmanship, poor installation quality of the rotating parts of the motor and small magnetic pump, the asymmetry between the motor axis and the pump shaft, the poor mechanical strength of the parts of the small magnetic pump, the wear and damage of the bearing and sealing parts, and the resonance between the rotating speed of the small magnetic pump and the frequency of the motor will produce strong vibration and noise.
The uneven inlet flow rate and air pressure of a small magnetic pump are the causes of vibration. The sharp change of pressure in the transmission pipeline caused by dynamic transition processes such as start-up and shutdown of the small magnetic pump, opening, and closing of the valve, and emergency shutdown is the cause of vibration.
Unreasonable design of water pipeline or mismatch with small magnetic pump, unreasonable start-up and shutdown sequence of the unit, etc. will worsen the water inlet conditions, produce vortex, induce cavitation or aggravate the vibration of the unit and pump house. The uneven foundation supporting the small magnetic pump and motor will also lead to the vibration of the small magnetic pump.
In order to prevent relevant accidents caused by vibration during the operation of a small magnetic pump, when vibration is found, find out the cause as soon as possible and deal with it in time, so as to avoid more serious consequences.
Whether there is cavitation: open the outlet valve of the pump. When the flow reaches a certain amount, the pump suddenly makes noise and vibration, and then continue to open the large valve. If the flow still does not increase, it means that there is cavitation. In case of cavitation, exhaust operation shall be carried out. Note: the magnetic pump must not operate in the cavitation state. If it continues to operate in this state, it will cause early wear of the bearing.
